And So It Begins...

I'm officially starting a blog. I've always said I would never post a blog, but I lied. I'm excited about my upcoming ventures & I'm going to have a lot to share. The phone isn't going to cut it, emailing is effective but I always manage to leave someone out, myspace isn't going to support my abundant amount of photos (& isn't exactly appropriate for my grandparents :) ), and I'm losing my ESP touch. So all signs point to blogging. This is my first, so be kind.

Currently I am packing up my life into boxes, vacuum sealed bags, rubbermaids, and goodwill sacks. Everything I own (and even the things others own & I house) have to go & the process is slightly overwhelming. Moving to storage is not the same mentality as moving to a different residence. I'm trying to minimize & I am not a minimalist. Please keep my packing in your prayers :)

There is light at the end of the tunnel. As soon as I am done packing & moving & storing I am moving!! Most everyone knows that I am moving to Okayama Japan July 29th. That's right - in 4 weeks. I am incredibly excited and each passing day brings more questions, additional anxiety, slight sadness, but mostly anticipation. This is a great opportunity to experience something new (or a lot of somethings new), enhance my resume, and meet extremely important people professionally. I hope to make new friends, experience new cultures, do a lot of traveling, and hopefully learn a new language. Oh, the constant mind rambling. It just wanders uncontrollably.

In recent weeks I have received some exciting pictures and some new information about my soon-to-be home.

My new address is:
Tara McPherson
705 AXiS Ima
4-15-23 Ima Okayama City
Japan 700-0953

I'll post more pictures soon. As well as updates on my packing and mental status.

Until then ... sayonara xoxo
